Seniors to meet

BETHEL – Bethel Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Alder River Grange Hall, East Bethel. Lunch is $7. Guest speaker will be Tineki Ouwinga.

Annual meeting

HARRISON – The annual meeting of the Harrison Lutheran Cemetery will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the home of Robert Heino, Maple Ridge Road. For more information, call 583-2877.

May raffle

WEST PARIS – The Friends of the West Paris Library are holding a May basket raffle. The large Nantucket basket is filled with seasonal items. The drawing will be held on Wednesday, May 9. Raffle tickets may be obtained at the library or by calling the librarian at 674-2004.

Library meeting

WATERFORD – The Waterford Library Association will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the library.

Reports on the activities of the past year, along with plans for the coming year, will be presented and trustees will be elected.

Following a break for refreshments, John O’Brien will offer a presentation, “Spring Peeping – Poetry of the Season” beginning at 7 p.m. O’Brien is a retired English teacher from Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and currently teaches at the USM Senior College in Bridgton.
