WATERFORD – County Commissioners Dave Duguay and Steve Merrill will be the featured speakers at the Tuesday, May 8, meeting of the Oxford County Republican Committee at the Wilkins House.
They will discuss current county projects and issues facing the county in the near future. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a lasagna dinner served by the Hannibal Hamlin Republican Women’s Club at 6:30 p.m. The speaker and a brief business meeting will follow.
All area Republicans are invited. The next meeting will be on June 12 at the Andover Congregational Church.
At the April 10 meeting at the North Waterford Congregational Church, Scott Moody, vice president of policy and chief economist of the Maine Heritage Policy Center in Portland, addressed the committee, outlining the implications of the Democratic Maine Legislature’s proposed tax hikes.
