TURNER – Dorothy (Dottie) M. Dudley, 60, of Turner, died unexpectedly May 1.

She was born in Rumford on Oct. 3, 1946, the daughter of Edmund and Marie (Dean) Desroches and was educated in Rumford schools and graduated from Rumford High School and later attended accounting courses at Turner Adult Education.

In her earlier years she had worked for AARP in Washington, D.C., as a switchboard operator and later at the Turner town office, operated the North Turner Food Bank and most recently was office manager at Twitchell’s Airport for seven years.

Dottie loved the outdoors, enjoying snowmobiling, camping near Moosehead and at Bear Pond, hunting, fishing and hiking. She was a great cribbage player and loved spending time with her friends and family and her boyfriend, Mike Twitchell. Most of all she loved to spend time with her granddaughter, Alyssa.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Dudley, granddaughter, Alyssa, and her boyfriend, Mike Twitchell, all of Turner; sisters, Judy Cetta, and her husband, Frank, of Mesa, Ariz. and Crystal Marston, and her husband, Scott, of Roxbury; three brothers, Doug Desroches, and his wife, Jeannie, of Fayette, Archie Desroches of Peru and Ted Desroches of California; and her extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert Dudley April 26, 1996; and her brother, Eddie Desroches of Leominster, Mass.
