A letter printed April 15, “Don’t tax my drink,” was, in my opinion, a joke. The letter writer is the vice president of a local beer and wine distributor.

Why not increase all beer and liquor taxes? As a state that is already overtaxed and overpopulated, with too many legislators, maybe we can increase taxes on the higher income brackets.

Whatever became of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights?

I’d like the name(s) of any good, decent, honest politician.
