BETHEL – Freshman pitcher Willie Brown threw a complete game shutout win, fanning 10 batters in the process, as Livermore Falls beat Telstar 8-0.
The Andies (4-1) had a fruitful second inning, scoring five runs due to timely hits by Jake Marceau, Mike Durrell, and Josh Tainter, and several Telstar (3-1) errors.
For the Rebels effort, Mike Fleet and Gavin Broomhall each hit doubles.
Oxford Hills 11, Mt. Blue 0
FARMINGTON – Ryan Yates scattered two hits and got plenty of run support as Oxford Hills sailed to a 11-0 shutout over Mt. Blue.
Matt Venner paced the undefeated Vikings (6-0) with two hits, including a two-run home run in ther first. Ben Goodall and Justin Frechette also homered for Oxford Hills, while Dan Millet added two hits.
Mike Toothaker and Ben Weeks split time on the mound for the Cougars (1-4).
Jay 12, Boothbay 9
JAY – Zane Armandi smacked a two-run double to lead Jay to a 12-9 win over Boothbay.
Armandi, Nick Bourassa, Rocky Desanctis each had three hits for the Tiger (3-2) win. Reliever Ben Hebert picked up the win.
Evan Manser hit an RBI double for the Boothbay (0-5) effort.
