FARMINGTON – Emmy Blake doubled in the fifth inning to bring home Sam Dolloff to record the lone run of the game as Oxford Hills topped Mt. Blue 1-0 Thursday in softball action.

Dolloff also got the win on the mound for the Vikings (4-1).

Amelia Allen singled in the fourth, which would prove to be the only hit of the day for Mt. Blue (3-2).

Jay 35, Boothbay 5

JAY – Daydra Loon scattered three hits and saw her offense hit overdrive as Jay rolled to a 35-5 victory over Boothbay.

Tasha Hebert paced the Tigers (4-1) with four hits and five RBIs, while Katie Hall belted three hits and had five RBIs.

Telstar 13, Liv. Falls 1

BETHEL – Candace Hall threw five innings of two-hit ball as Telstar easily handled Livermore Falls, 13-1.

Josie Reiss paced the Rebels (4-0) with three hits and two RBIs, while Joseline Belanger and Megan Smith each had doubles.

Falmouth 4, Poland 2

POLAND – Caty Abbott, Noelle Murray, and Katie McCarthy each had RBI singles in the second inning to propel Falmouth to a 4-2 win over Poland.

Kathy Morris smacked an RBI single in the fifth for the Yachtsman (2-3). Eileen Brandes struck out 11 to earn the win.

For the Knights (3-3), Kristen Simpson had an RBI single.

Girls’ lacrosse
Brunswick 9, Oxford Hills 6

SOUTH PARIS – Meg Clement led all scorers with three goals and an assist as Brunswick recorded a 9-6 win over Oxford Hills.

Ceci Kjelman added two goals and two assists while Margo Hayden, Abby Weeks, Bri O’Connor, and Leila Mills rounded out the scoring effort with goals for the Dragons (5-0). Meredith Vieira notched a pair of goals for the Vikings (1-3).

Liv. Falls 8, Telstar 0

BETHEL – Freshman pitcher Willie Brown threw a complete game shutout, fanning 10 batters in the process, as Livermore Falls beat Telstar 8-0. The Andies (4-1) had a fruitful second inning, scoring five runs due to timely hits by Jake Marceau, Mike Durrell and Josh Tainter.

Ox. Hills 11, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON – Ryan Yates scattered two hits and got plenty of run support as Oxford Hills sailed to a 11-0 shutout over Mt. Blue.

Matt Venner paced the undefeated Vikings (6-0) with two hits, including a two-run home run in ther first. Ben Goodall and Justin Frechette also homered for Oxford Hills, while Dan Millet added two hits.

Jay 12, Boothbay 9

JAY – Zane Armandi smacked a two-run double to lead Jay to a 12-9 win over Boothbay. Armandi, Nick Bourassa, Rocky Desanctis each had three hits for the Tigers (3-2). Reliever Ben Hebert picked up the win.

Evan Manser hit an RBI double for the Boothbay (0-5) effort.
