AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department of Central Maine Community College will offer a course in customer service from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, May 31 through June 28. The cost of $205 a person includes materials.

“Customer Service Excellence” (CCS 027-01) is for those working in retail, sales teams, bank and credit union employees, wait staff, medical office staff, customer service representatives and anyone else who deals with customers.

Participants will learn the importance of creating a culture of customer service, how to communicate with customers using tested techniques in a variety of media channels, how the customer’s perspective and experiences impact what they expect and how to maintain a high level of quality customer service that can set the organization apart from its competition.

The program will be presented by Julie Guerin, who has more than 18 years of experience in customer service, working for a major retailer in Maine. She has been in many leadership roles and has participated in several seminars, including adult training, material development and supervisory leadership. She has also completed business courses at CMCC.
