LEWISTON – It’ll be a big day of table tennis Saturday at Lewiston Armory. The Maine Table Tennis League will be hosting the Maine Spring Table Tennis Open. Players from all over the northeast have registered.
A total of 11 competitions are scheduled for play, with over $700 in prize money up for grabs as well as trophies. It’s a “2” Star tourney and will consist of round robin events, with groups of 3 to 5 players. Top 2 players will advance to single-elimination play.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and runs all day. The public is invited at no cost. More information can be obtained on the league’s website at www.mainetabletennisleague.com, or by calling Guy Boisse at 754-5379.
