FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue High School Interact Club, an international charity organization for teenagers sponsored by the Farmington Rotary, will hold a benefit rock ‘n’ roll dance from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Elks Lodge, West Farmington.

A local band, the Tired Starlings (James Rossi, Kevin Quinn-Kelly and D.J. Taylor) will perform classic rock. Tickets are $5 for individuals, $4 for students and seniors, and $12 for families. Tickets can be purchased at Mickey’s Hallmark, Hammond Lumber or Ron’s Market. All proceeds will go toward community and international service projects.

On Friday, June 22, a multiple-genre concert will be held in the Lincoln Auditorium, Robert’s Learning Center, University of Maine at Farmington. From 7 to 9:30 p.m. four local bands will perform a combination of original music and covers.

The bands include the Tired Starlings playing class rock covers. James Eaton and the Feel Good Band playing all Beatles covers, James Goselin playing original indie/contemporary folk music and Cenedl playing instrumental Celtic rock.

James Goselin will sell his original albums. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
