BULLS GAP, Tenn. – Roland Arthur Roy, 82, of Bulls Gap, Tenn., passed away Friday, May 4.
He was born Aug. 20, 1924.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW, UAW, and Lakeway Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Roy; six children, Joyce Nance (Virgil) of Bulls Gap, Tenn., Brenda Snyder (Terry) of Rockford, Ill., Mary Below (Ronald) of Rockford, Ill., Stella Hurley (James) of Greeneville, Tenn., Claudette Yungen (Thomas) of Midway, Tenn., and Thomas Roy (Trina) of Mohawk, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Beaulieu of Taunton, Mass., Maybel Poulin of Lewiston, Rose Roy of Revere Beach, Mass., and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Roy of Rockford, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Karl Sabey, Missy Gregg, Robin Dean, and very, very special friend, Twila Spears.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Henry, Leo and Franklin; and by grandsons, Timothy Hanson and Virgil Nance II.
