LEWISTON – The Lewiston CareerCenter announces the May workshop schedule and the speakers for the Unemployed Professionals Group as follows:

Upcoming program topics are:

May 7 – “Inventorying Knowledge, Skills & Abilities,” presented by Michael Davis of Pathfinders.

May 14 – “Staying Motivated in Your Job Search,” presented by Mary LaFontaine of the Lewiston CareerCenter.

May 21 – “Labor Market Information for your Job Search,” presented by Judy Brown of the Lewiston CareerCenter.

May 28 – Memorial Day, no group meeting.

The Lewiston/Auburn Area Unemployed Professionals Group provides support, resources, and networking opportunities for unemployed and underemployed professionals while providing employers with a valuable talent pool from which to recruit and hire.

Registration is not required for those workshops.

A job club will meet at the CareerCenter every Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. Topics focus on job search strategy and skills, networking and information sharing. Registration is not required for the Job Club.

Other workshops offered at the CareerCenter include: “Career Decision Making,” “Writing a Resume” and “Interviewing Skills.” Phone 753-9005 to register and get additional information.

The group meets every Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way. All events are free of charge.
