LEBANON, N.H. – Joan Meserve, 76, a St. Johnsbury, Vt., resident, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, April 30, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, from injuries sustained in a fall.

She was born May 24, 1930, in Mechanic Falls, to Clarence and Gladys (Jordan) Meserve, she graduated from Edward Little High School in 1949, and the University of New Hampshire 1953.

In 1954 she became certified as a medical technologist by the American Medical Society’s Board of Clinical Pathologists and remained active in this field until 1973. She worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Ducham. In 1995, she retired from the staff of St. Johnsbury Academy in St. Johnsbury, Vt., where she worked as a monitor.

She was a member of the Union Baptist Church and has left a wide variety of friends who will miss her greatly.

She leaves behind a devoted Christian brother and sister, Richard and Nancy Bohlen of Danville, Vt.; a sister in Christ, Katherine Boone of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; a brother, Philmore Meserve of Mechanic Falls; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Malcolm Meserve; and a sister, Phyllis Strout.
