NORTH JAY – Pauline T. Brougham, 77, of North Jay, passed away May 6, at her home in North Jay.
She was born, April 26, 1929, in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Donat and Lea (Therrien) Simoneau. She graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1950.
On Feb. 19, 1955, she married Francis James Brougham at St. Rose of Lima in Jay.
She had been employed at many different jobs, including the Glove Factory, Foss Jewelers, Livermore Shoe and G.H. Bass in Wilton, from where she retired.
She greatly enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends including games with Father Maurice Plourde in the 1960s and 1970s. She also enjoyed playing beano, her trips to Florida, camping and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Francis; three children, Angela Brougham, James Brougham, and his wife, Lisa and William Brougham, and his wife, Leanne; grandchildren, Travis Brougham, Kathy Drake, Kristen Gideon, Jacob Brougham, and his wife, Samantha, Joshua Brougham and Tyler Brougham; two great-grandchildren, Megan Gideon and Noah Brougham; brothers, Bert Simoneau, and his wife, Doris and Paul Simoneau, and his wife, Jeannine; sisters, Reinette Richards, and her husband, Robert and Marlene Boivin, and her husband, Philip.
She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Laurier, Raymond and Gerald Simoneau; and a sister, Blanche Rogers.
