LIVERMORE – Town officials approved a $1.1 million spending package for fiscal 2008, up from $1.06 million last year, to be sent to the Budget Committee for review.

The proposal stays within the state’s proposed cap of $968,000 for the town to raise by taxation, selectmen’s Administrative Assistant Kurt Schaub said.

That amount, if the proposal is approved, is about $956,000. That includes buying a stainless steel sander and plow for the town’s one-ton truck, Schaub said.

The Budget Committee planned to give its first review to the budget Wednesday night.
