Mother’s Day

PARIS – The Mother’s Day service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., will be led by the men of the church. They will also host the coffee hour. The music will be under the direction to Forest Perkins, church organist. Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. Child care is provided. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. All are welcome.

Potluck supper

WATERFORD – The last community potluck supper of the season will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Wilkins House behind the Village Green, Plummer Hill.

After the supper, the Swinging Bears will put on a square dance demonstration led by caller John Thompson. Following the demonstration, everyone will be invited to join in. No experience is necessary.

Those attending are asked to bring a main dish, salad or dessert. Beverages and bread will be provided. The hosts will be Caren and James Long and Nancy and Fred Engdahl.

VFW supper

HARRISON – A public supper will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the VFW Hall, Route 35. Menu will include baked beans, brown bread, casseroles, macaroni and cheese, salads, pies, coffee and punch. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. It is sponsored by Ronald G. St. John VFW Post Auxiliary 9328.

Rummage sale

WEST PARIS – An indoor rummage sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 14 and 15, and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Ledgeview Living Center. Proceeds will benefit the Resident Council.

Church sale

NORWAY – A rummage sale will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 32 Paris St. The funds raised will support the Youth Ministry Program and be used for retreats such as the winter carnival in January and the youth convention in Portland.

Tables available

OXFORD – Stone-Smart American Legion Auxiliary Unit 82, Norway, will hold a yard sale on Saturday, June 30, at Great Scott Storage, Route 26. Eight-foot tables are available for $10 a table. There will also be a food and plant sale.
