BETHEL – “Old Days on the Androscoggin” is the 2007 theme for the 28th annual Faye Taylor Memorial Art Show to be hosted by the Bethel Historical Society from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Dr. Moses Mason House.
The show will highlight a historical theme for students in SAD 44’s grades one to six. There will be competition for awards in three divisions. Each entry should relate in some way to the theme.
Specific guidelines have been distributed to each classroom in the district. Those wishing further information should call the society at 824-2908 or 1-800-824-2910.
The society will hold its annual St. Never’s Day sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, under a tent at the corner of Mason and Broad streets.
Items in good condition (no clothing or computer equipment) are welcome and may be left on the back porch of the O’Neil Robinson House, 10 Broad St., or on Stan Howe’s side porch, 18 Broad St., at any time. Those needing pick-up should call the society office.
Once again this year, the society is offering a 3-by-6-foot table for rent under the tent for those who wish to join in selling their items. The rental fee is $20 a table and spaces are limited. Anyone wishing to register for a table should call the society office. All profits from the sale will benefit the general operations of the society and its programming.
More information about the society and its activities may be obtained by calling the above numbers or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Additional information can also be obtained by checking the Web at www.bethelhistorical.org.
