BERLIN, N.H. – Vina A. (Ross) Gorham, 85, of 51 Glen Road, Gorham, N.H., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Gorham, N.H., on March 10, 1922, the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Smith) Ross and moved to Shelburne after World War II, and resided there until 1969 and then became a resident of Gorham, where she has since resided.
She had attended hairdressing school in Boston and was self-employed in the taxi business and an antique shop. She attended the Gorham Congregational Church, UCC. She was an active volunteer in the Gorham Historical Society and enjoyed being involved in the Shelburne Neighbors Club.
Members of the family include her son, Terry Gorham, and his wife, JoAnn, of Monroe, N.H.; two grandchildren, Lance Gorham of Hudson, N.H., and Cara Gorham of Monroe, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Gorham in 1997; and a son, Ted Gorham.
