Brianna Temple, 15, explains her science project “Attracting Elements” to judge Melissa Geddes during the annual science fair at Lewiston High School on Thursday. In all, 220 sophomore projects were judged on scientific methodology, record keeping and presentation by teachers, Bates College students and members of the business community. Temple’s project compared how the size of a magnetic field relates to the size of a magnet. First, second, third place and honorable mention will be announced Monday morning, organizer Laurie Haines said.
