In his letter of May 1, Thomas Case expressed righteous indignation over Paul Wolfowitz’s shenanigans violating the ethical and moral code of the World Bank organization and protesting against the income tax free status of the obscene salaries commanded by Wolfowitz and his comrades-in-arms.
While I applaud his concern, his appeal to our elected officials in Congress asking for appropriate change in the tax law and for pressure on the White House to relinquish it’s support for Mr. Wolfowitz gives me pause. Are these not the same folk who grant themselves generous cost of living increases, and who already command mind-boggling salaries after retirement for a life amounting to a tax burden on the General Fund beyond the guess of man?
There must be a better way to make things right than asking the fox to guard the henhouse.
