MEXICO – A Mass of Christian Burial for Obeline “Obie” Waugh was celebrated Wednesday, May 9, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Lionel Chouinard was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Wayne Petrie was the organist. Music selections were Amazing Grace, Wind Beneath My Wings, and When the Saints Come Marching In. A special selection, Black & White was played by fiddler Jim Roy. Readings were done by her granddaughter, Gena Cloutier and grandson, Michael Gallant. The eulogy was given by grandson, Jim Gallant. Pallbearers were Bruce Waugh, Steve Waugh, William Waite, Tim Gallant, Michael Jarry and Gary Hanmer. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
