LEWISTON – The City Democratic Committee will host a panel discussion on rumors at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at 213 Lisbon St.
The panel of myth busters will address the question of whether people move to Maine because it has a generous welfare program, among other rumors.
Panelists are state Rep. William Walcott, D-Lewiston; Phil Nadeau, deputy city administrator; James Handy, chairman of the Lewiston School Committee; Sun Journal editors Judith Meyer and Anthony Ronzio; Ismail Ahmed of Catholic Charities Maine; and Kate Brennan of Maine People’s Alliance.
All are welcome. Refreshments will be available before the meeting.
