NORWAY – George “Bud” Ryerson Jr., 84, of Norway, died Saturday, May 12, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Milton Plantation on May 11, 1923, the son of George and Florence (Sessions) Ryerson.
He attended Bridgton Academy and had worked for Wilner Wood Products for over 40 years, working up to foreman of the Glue Dimensions Division.
He was a member of the Norway Country Club for over 50 years. He had a great love for the game of golf and all high school sports, and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, playing cards and watching western movies.
He is survived by his loving wife and golf partner, Barbara, of Norway; a son, Howarth and wife, Cathy, of Castroville, Calif.; grandson, Shannon Ryerson; a sister, Louise Merrill of North Bridgton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Hurshel, Reginald, Elmer, and James; and a grandson, Kyle Ryerson.
