I am shocked by the Androscoggin County Commission, and chairman Elmer F. Berry.
I believe the chairman has disregarded his sworn obligation to serve, and consider the safety, of the citizens, as well as the safety of those officers sworn to protect the citizens.
The commission is playing politics with the lives, safety, and best interest of the citizens.
The sheriff, Guy Desjardins, is responsible for the safety of officers and people of this county. What happens if someone is killed as a direct result of the commission’s actions? Will the commission blame the people for electing Desjardins?
There is something wrong when the county commission plays politics with the health and safety of the citizens. I believe the citizens of Androscoggin County have been embarrassed by the Androscoggin County Commission, and it would be appropriate to remove the entire commission before anyone is killed.
Something has to happen to allow the citizens to be proud of Androscoggin County again.
Roland R. Berry, Minot
