LISBON -In opening action in the Lisbon Junior League (Cal-Ripken Sr. League 10-12), Laroche defeated Graziano’s 5-2.

Jordon Torres, Kody and Kyle Priddle combined for 13 strikeouts. Second baseman Josh Broadwater made a fine defensive play. Graziano’s solid pitching kept the game at 2-1 until the fourth.

Winthrop outslugged Lisbon 13-12 in a 9-inning thriller. Laflamme for Winthrop and Harrington for Lisbon both hurled 7 strong innings.

Dingley and Degou reached base 5 times each for Lisbon. Duplessis scored 4 runs for Winthrop.
