UNITY (AP) – The body of a man, an apparent drowning victim, was pulled from Sandy Stream on Monday evening near the entrance to Unity College.

The victim was identified as Darrel Monk Butler, 51, of Unity.

Butler and a companion, Matthew Williams, 42, of Unity, had launched a canoe to pick fiddleheads before the craft capsized, the Maine Warden Service said.
