NORWAY – Louise J. Burhoe, 96, of Norway, died Monday, May 14, at the Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center.
She was born in Norway, on Oct. 15, 1910, the daughter of Howard A. and Edith (Farnham) Knightly. She was a graduate of Norway High School.
She had been a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the Norway Grange for more than 80 years and the Order of the Eastern Star (lifetime member). She enjoyed gardening and her crafts.
She is survived by a daughter, Sonia M. Young, and her husband, Robert, of Essex, Mass.; a son, Harlan L. Johnson, and his wife, Elaine, of Norway; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Knightly Lacko of Norway; daughter-in-law, Lois L. (Kilgore) Johnson of Norway; and a son-in-law, Bourdon P. Scribner of Harrison.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Ralph Johnson and Ingram Burhoe; a daughter, Janyce A. Scribner in 1998; a son, Milton H. Johnson in 1969; brothers, Warren, Albert, Norman, Verne and her twin brother, Lewis; and a sister, Margaret Staples.
