AUBURN – Sandra L. Cyr, 48, a resident of 14 Cedar Drive, Hebron, died early Tuesday, May 15, at the Hospice House, after a short illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 18, 1958, the daughter of Paul and Gertrude (Demers) Bernier. She grew up in Lewiston, and attended St. Peter’s School and was a 1976 graduate of St. Dominic.

After high school she attended St. Mary’s School of Radiology, which then led her to broaden her health care profession by becoming a licensed pharmaceutical technician employed at the former Laverdiere’s Super Drug in Auburn, Central Maine Medical Center Pharmacy, and at Rite Aid at the time of her death.

Her hobbies centered around her children’s activities as a Little League coach for Dunham Boot of the NALL in Auburn as well as both Girl and Boy Scout troop leader for her children’s troops.

She loved being family host at parties, especially Christmas, and decorating her house for the holidays. She also loved bowling, camping, reading, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Cyr, whom she married in 1982, of Hebron; one son, Ricky P. Cyr of Hebron; one daughter, Danielle Stetson, and her husband, Cory, of Hebron; one sister, Diane McDougal of Lisbon; one aunt, Lorraine Demers of Lewiston; and also two grandchildren, Camden and Bohden Stetson of Hebron.
