BETHEL – “Old Days on the Androscoggin” is the 2007 theme for the 28th annual Faye Taylor Memorial Art Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Dr. Moses Mason House.

Sponsored by the Bethel Historical Society, the show will highlight a historical theme for students in SAD 44 (grades one to six) to consider in entering the competition for awards in three divisions.

Each entry should relate in some way to the theme. Specific guidelines have been distributed to each classroom in the district. Those wishing more information should call the society at 824-2908.

Once again, the society will hold its annual St. Never’s Day sale under a tent from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the corner of Mason and Broad streets.

Items in good condition (no clothing or computer equipment) are welcome and may be left on the back porch of the O’Neil Robinson House, 10 Broad St., or on Stan Howe’s side porch at 18 Broad St. at any time.

The society is offering a 3-by-6-foot table for rent under the tent for those who wish to sell items. The rental fee is $20 a table and spaces are limited. Anyone wishing to register for a table should call the society office. All profits from the sale will benefit the general operations of the society.
