LEWISTON – Aline A. Hodsdon, 77, of 1357 Sabattus Road, Lewiston, died May 16, at her home.

She was born in Auburn on July 3, 1929, the daughter of Girard and Gilberte Biron Dubuc. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School, and on July 12, 1952, was married to George W. Hodsdon. He passed away on June 6, 1987.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years in the office of the Dead River Oil Co. In her younger days, she was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Twin Cities Bowling Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed going to state and county fairs, attending performances at the Maine State Music Theater and playing cards with her many dear friends. A life-long animal lover, she enjoyed spending time with her dog Ginny, and her cats, Fred and Ethel.

Survivors include a son, Mark of Gorham; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen of Auburn; three grandchildren, Abigail of Auburn, Brady of Bangor and Patrick of Denver, Colo.; a granddaughter-in-law, Tanya Hart of Lewiston; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Hart of Lewiston.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Gary Hodsdon Nov. 9, 2005; and a brother, Girard.
