LEWISTON – Linda L. Long, 61, of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Lewiston on July 7, 1945, the daughter of John J. and Medora Celia (Robideau) Wiswell. She attended Auburn schools and was a 1964 graduate of Edward Little High School.
Following her schooling, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Marcotte Home, and then started a family. She was a volunteer in the Auburn school system and was active in New Auburn Little League, where she ran the snack shack. She had also been employed as a retail assistant manager of 16+ in the Maine Mall for seven years. At the time of her death, she had been employed as a before- and after-care supervisor for Trinity Catholic School.
Survivors include two sons, Eric G. Long and his wife, Trina Bacon, of Lewiston, and Darin W. Long of Auburn; one sister, Marilyn Hawley and her husband, Donald Sr., of Mechanic Falls; and two grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one sister, Lois.
