Copies of new and revamped Citylink bus schedules began hitting the streets Friday.
It’s the first time the Lewiston-Auburn Transit Committee has printed schedules since 2004, when the downtown shuttle first began.
“It’s not because we ran out, but because they got out of date,” said transit coordinator Marsha Bennett.
The new schedules feature routes and times for the Minot Avenue run, as well as service to Central Maine Community College. Those changes began in 2005, after the old schedules were printed.
The transit group ordered 20,000 copies of the schedule.
They are available at Lewiston and Auburn city halls and recreation departments and libraries, at Lewiston’s Oak Street bus station and at area malls and shops.
A new Citylink Web site, at www.purplebus.org, should debut in the next few months, she said.
