NORWAY – Cape Elizabeth author Meg Wolff will sign and read from her book “Becoming Whole, The Story of My Complete Recovery from Breast Cancer” at noon Saturday, May 26, at Books N Things.

Wolff’s book candidly and straightforwardly tells the story of her remarkable life journey and of taking control of her life and health. At age 33, with a 4-year-old son and infant daughter, Wolff was diagnosed with bone cancer that required her leg to be amputated. Eight years later, cancer struck a second time. By fall 1999, after going through chemotherapy and radiation – and undergoing a mastectomy – doctors still gave her little hope.

When Wolff learned of some women whose health had improved by following a macrobiotic (plant-based) diet and lifestyle, she was open to trying whatever might offer hope for recovery. She tried the diet, continued it and eight years later, she is healthy and cancer-free.

Some of America’s most influential doctors, including Christiane Northrup oof Yarmouth, T. Colin Campbell, Neal Barnard, Bob Arnot and Bernie Siegel, have endorsed Wolff’s inspirational book, which also includes a recipe section and menu planner.

Wolff, 49, will answer questions at the book-signing. Books N Things is at 430 Main St.
