LEWISTON – The wedding of Elisabeth Bennett and Justin Pelkey was held at 5 p.m. on Oct. 21 at the Bates College Chapel. Sally Brochu officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Pelkey is the daughter of Brenda Bennett of Auburn and the late Ernest Bennett. Mr. Pelkey is the son of Kim Pelkey of Norway and David and Valerie Pelkey of Cordova, Md.
The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore a strapless chiffon gown in A-line style, embellished with Swarovsky crystals, bugle beads and seed beads. The gown had a corset back and sweep train and she carried a cascade of red roses with ivy.
Sarah Bennett served as maid of honor for her sister, and Robin Desjardins, best friend of the bride, and Jennifer Jackson, sister of the bride, were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Mihoko Richards and Kendra Levasseur, friends, and Jamie Levesque, sister of the bridegroom. Ashleigh Jackson, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Ryan Richards performed the duties of best man for his best friend, and ushers were Brian Levesque, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Travis Pelkey, brother of the bridegroom, Eric Bennett, brother of the bride, and Dan Hargreaves and Keith Biddle, friends. Connor Jackson, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Carriage House in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Riviera Maya in Mexico. The couple is residing in Lewiston.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2003 graduate of Central Maine Community College with a degree in early childhood. She is the owner of a home day care.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Edward Little High School and is employed at Warren Construction.
