LEWISTON – Gladys L. Hudson passed away Thursday, May 17, at her home in Lewiston, with family by her side.
She was born in Portland on Aug. 25, 1931, and attended Portland schools. She was the daughter of Leslie and Alice (Smith) Morse.
While Gladys raised her four children, she worked at various restaurants in the Portland area, and retired from Data General in Westbrook.
She was the loving wife of of Herbert Hudson, who died in 1996. She enjoyed special times at their lakeside home in Raymond and later in Lewiston. She enjoyed all the holidays, but Christmas was her favorite.
Everyone always wanted one of her famous blueberry or chocolate cakes. These recipes will always live on through her children.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Thoits of Lewiston, Robert Conley Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Raymond, Katherine Oliver and her husband, James, of New Gloucester, and Darleen Davis and her husband, Richard, of Portland, and stepdaughter, Linda Libbey and her husband, Russ, of Pompano, Fla.; grandchildren, Kimberly Davis, Kelly Rizzo, Michael Thoits, Justin, Jessica and Timothy Oliver and his domestic partner, Jennifer Raymond, Amanda Greene, Jason and Nathan Conley; and great-grandchildren, Natasha Thoits, Zachary and Emma Greene, and Addison Rizzo.
She will be sadly missed by her granddogs, Damien, Penny, Riley, Rudy and Daisy, and all the treats she always had for them; and her two kitties, Mitty and Baby, will especially miss her. She will also be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She was predeceased by one grandson, Robert A. Conley.
