AUBURN – The St. Dominic Regional High School math team took part in the state math meet on April 10 at the Bangor Auditorium. There were 88 schools represented and 880 students in attendance.
The Saints Mathletes finished 18th in the state among all schools and the team brought home two second-place plaques.
The team finished second for the season among all Class D schools in the state and second in Class D schools at the state meet out of 21 schools.
Members who participated were: seniors Megha Basavappa, Eddy Connors, Carla Henault, Amanda Nguyen, Sasha Pavlak and Carolyn Tardif; junior Amanda Mayette; sophomores Michael Girouard, finished 10th among sophomores represented at the state meet, and Keita Kobayashi. Other members who contributed to the season performance were freshmen Dale Pavlak and Steven Ulin.
