I am trying to understand why gas stations are engaged in what I consider to be price fixing. There seems to be no incentive to choose one brand of gas over another. Why isn’t there more of a difference in gas prices? Even the “discount” dealers are caught up and charge the same price.
When I tried to do comparative shopping by telephone, one dealer even told me “they” (whoever that is) would not allow him to compete.
Something is seriously fishy with that.
