WILTON – The door to the Boiler Room Brew Pub and Restaurant on Main Street was kicked open early Saturday morning, said police Chief Dennis Brown on Monday. Cash was taken, but he would not confirm the amount.

“We’re working to develop a possible suspect,” he said.

The incident was discovered when the restaurant opened Saturday morning. The door was closed after it was kicked in so the robbery was not discovered until morning, he said.

Wilton police are also working on the theft of a four-wheeler stolen between 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday in East Wilton, Brown said. The property of Marc Latham of East Main Street, it was parked in an unsecured outbuilding, Brown said. It was valued at $7,400. Nothing else was taken.

A residence in Jay was searched, Brown said, but the vehicle was not found. The police will continue their investigation, he said.
