LEWISTON – Cecile Blanche Begin, 85, formerly of 1667 Main St., Lewiston, and a resident of the d’Youville Pavilion for the past three years, died Sunday, May 20, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston on June 9, 1921, the daughter of Eugene and Matilda Lavoie Ouellette. Educated in local schools, she was married to Samuel Begin at St. Louis Church in Auburn on June 24, 1942. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and was an excellent cook. She also took great pleasure in knitting things for her family.

Survivors include her husband of Lewiston; two daughters, Lorraine, and husband, Wayne Andrew, of Poland and Armande, and husband, Paul Dube, of Memphis, Tenn.; a son-in-law, Richard McGraw of Lakeland, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Jacqueline McGraw; a brother, Gerard Ouellette; and three sisters, Rita Campbell, Jeanette Desjardin and Theresa Ouellette.

Cecile’s family would like to thank the staff of d’Youville Pavilion and Father Donald Gagne for the loving care they provided to her in her final days.
