NORWAY – Lois Mockler Knight, 75, died on May 20, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She had resided at Parsons Road in South Paris.

She was born on Aug. 6, 1931, in Norwalk, Conn., a daughter to the late Galvin and Beryl (Dennis) Mockler, and graduated from Norwalk High School, Class of 1949.

She worked as librarian at the John D. McGrath Elementary School in Norwalk for 10 years and was an active participant in the PTA. She was a 20-year member of the Girl Scouts of America in addition to being a troop leader for many of those years.

She worked as bookkeeper and caterer with her husband Bob at their restaurant The Chef’s Table in Norway for more than 20 years until their retirement.

An active alumni, she loyally returned to Norwalk to visit her children and grandchildren and to attend class reunions. She enjoyed playing golf, playing the piano, loved painting, sewing, cooking and traveling with her family.

She was married to the late Charles R. “Bob” Knight Jr., who died in South Paris on Jan. 11, 2005.

She is lovingly survived by one son, Glenn Pastore, and wife, Annie, of Otisfield; four daughters, Laurene Stenger, and husband, John, of Norwalk, Conn., Carol Farley of Norwalk, Conn., Marcia King, and husband, Richard, of Redding, Conn., Charleen Ripley, and husband, Robert, of South Paris; nine grandchildren, Justin Stenger, Brett Stenger, Brandon Farley and Matthew Farley of Norwalk, Conn., Noah Pastore and Lindsey Pastore of Otisfield, Robbie Ripley and Jesse Ripley of South Paris and Christopher King of Redding, Conn.; two brothers, David Mockler, and wife, Gerry, of Derby, Conn., and Dennis Mockler, and wife, Delores, of Westport, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Gayle Mockler of Norwalk, Conn.
