THORNDIKE – With one out and three men on, pitcher Tim Levesque took the mound and struck out the next two batters in the third inning, allowing Oak Hill to escape with a 7-2 victory over Mt. View in baseball Tuesday.

Levesque’s pitching inspired the Raiders (8-6) to produce five runs in the fourth inning and take a 5-2 lead. Tom Edgecomb had two hits, including a double. Catcher Brandon Plourde had a hit and knocked in two runs.

Winthrop 8, Livermore Falls 3

WINTHROP – Pitcher Forrest Dwyer went the distance on the mound and David Ricker went 3-for-4 with two doubles, leading the Winthrop Raiders (11-1) to an 8-3 victory over the Livermore Falls Andies (8-4) in a baseball game Tuesday.

The Ramblers built a 6-0 lead by the third inning thanks to a five-run outburst in the second. Rusty Schmelzer and Kory Child each doubled for Winthrop. Shawn Gates went 2-for-3 for the Andies.

Morse 14, Leavitt 3

TURNER – Jamie Wallace allowed just four hits and got adequate run support to lead Morse to a 14-3 victory over Leavitt in another KVAC tilt. Wallace also led the Shipbuilders (2-11) offensively with two hits and three RBIs. Riley Walker and Carl Nygaard chipped in two hits each for Morse. The Hornets (2-11) were paced by Doug Nash, who belted the team’s first home run of the season.

Poland 6, Falmouth 3

POLAND – Tyler Merchant belted a three-run home run with two outs in the fifth inning to regain the lead for Poland in a 6-3 victory over Falmouth.

Merchant’s blast erased a 3-1 Falmouth lead on three unearned runs. Matt Whalen added a two-run single for the Knights (11-1). Jake Pelletier and Will Griffiths combined on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

St. Dom’s 7, Traip 1

AUBURN – Andy Allen hurled seven innings of four-hit baseball Tuesday as St. Dom’s rolled to a 7-1 victory over Traip.

Peter Lewis led the Saints (10-1) with two hits and three RBIs, while Kasey Parker belted a double. The Saints led 4-0 after three innings and added three more in the fifth.

Lisbon 4, Monmouth 0

MONMOUTH – Tyler Brown gave up just four hits and got good run support as Lisbon pulled off a 4-0 shutout over Monmouth. Frank Angelino led the Greyhounds (10-2) with four hits and one RBI, while Mike Underkoefler tallied two hits. David Yaerle also contributed with two hits and one RBI, while catcher Andy Ouellette belted a two-run single in the fifth.

Buckfield 3, Sacopee Valley 0

BUCKFIELD – Jamie Henderson struck out 10 and allowed just three hits in a 3-0 victory over Sacopee Valley in baseball action Tuesday.

Tyler Weymouth doubled in a run in the second and Dan Danforth singled in another for a 2-0 lead. The Bucks got a third run on an error in the fourth.

Justin Woodcock, Isaac Beaudoin and Dylan Emery all had a pair of hits for Buckfield (7-4).

Hall-Dale 6, Mt. Abram 4

SALEM – Ryan Leach had two hits and two runs batted in to lead Hall-Dale to a 6-4 win over Mt. Abram in MVC baseball Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (5-6) scored four runs in the second and made it 6-1 with two more in the fifth. Austin Thorndike had a pair of hits for Mt. Abram (2-9).

Oxford Hills 7, Brunswick 2

BRUNSWICK – Ryan Yates scattered eight hits and struck out three to post a complete-game 7-2 victory over Brunswick in KVAC baseball Tuesday.

Dan Millett led the Vikings (11-2) with two hits and an RBI. Justin Frechette also drove in a run. Matt Lislovitz had three hits and a run batted in for the Dragons (7-6)

Mt. Ararat 7, Mt. Blue 2

FARMINGTON – Matt Bickford smashed a three-run home run in the sixth inning to lead Mt. Ararat to a 7-2 victory over Mt. Blue. Scott Rogers led the Eagles (6-7) with two hits and four RBIs. Taylor Ross gave up six hits in seven innings to record the win.

The Cougars (5-8) were paced by Mike Toothaker with a pair of hits.

Mountain Valley 12, Madison 1

RUMFORD – Andy Shorey belted two hits and knocked in three runs to propel Mountain Valley to a 12-1 rout over Madison in MVC baseball action Tuesday.

Justin Stares and Matt Lyons chipped in for the Falcons (11-1) with two hits and two RBIs apiece.
