Kindergarten enrollment

The scoop: Minot Consolidated School Principal Margaret Pitts said that 30 students have been enrolled to begin kindergarten this September. She noted that while this is an increase over the 21 students in kindergarten, total numbers at the school are not expected to increase as the current eighth grade class has 40 students in it who will be moving on to high school.

Snow day makeup

Issue: Due to inclement weather this year, students were out of school for one more day than had been built into the school calendar.

The scoop: Students will attend school Friday, for half a day, to make up for time missed earlier in the year. A teachers workshop day, originally scheduled for Friday, was postponed by action of the School Committee.
