ANDOVER – Otis E. Morton Sr., 75, died Wednesday, May 23, at his residence. He resided on the Upton Road in Andover.
He was born in Andover on Dec. 6, 1931, a son of the late Eldwin and Dora (Hutchins) Morton. He was a graduate of Andover High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Thurston’s Mill and also as a woodsman for several loggers in the area. He was a member of the VFW and he also enjoyed pussy willows and mayflowers.
He was married in Andover, on Jan. 4, 1958, to Carol S. Riggs, who survives of Andover.
Other survivors include four sons, Otis Morton Jr., and his wife, Dawn, of Andover, Ken Morton, and his wife, Joan, of Andover, Eric Morton, and his wife, Vickie, of Rumford Point and Charles Morton of Andover; three daughters, Elizabeth Ladd of Andover, Linda Merrill of Gray and Dora Morton of Andover; three brothers, Owen Morton of Andover, Hank Morton, and his wife, Elaine, of Andover and Wayne Morton, and his wife, Marilyn, of Andover; sister, Priscilla Hodgkins, and her husband, Bryant, of Roxbury; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Hugh and George.
