JAY – A Corinna man critically injured when his pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer in North Jay this month is now in serious condition at a Lewiston hospital.
Adam Bennett, 29, had been listed in critical condition since the accident at Central Maine Medical Center after he was flown there by medical helicopter May 14.
Bennett was heading home from construction work at Verso Paper in Jay early that morning when the accident happened at the intersection of Macomber Hill Road and Route 133.
Bennett, the father of two, suffered head and internal injuries after he was thrown about 30 feet from his 2000 full-size Dodge truck when it went into the southbound ditch on Route 133.
Bennett’s condition was upgraded to serious, a CMMC spokesperson said Thursday.
