TOPS deadline for camp is near

LEWISTON – The 2007 The Opportunity to Shine Program (TOPS) applications are available for third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade Lewiston public school students.

TOPS is a collaborative effort between United Way of Androscoggin County and the Libra Foundation. For Lewiston public school students, the program provides up to $800 in scholarships to third- and fourth-graders and up to $1,000 in scholarships to fifth- and sixth-graders to attend a Maine summer camp of their choice.

Those interested can pick up an application at a local public school or at the United Way of Androscoggin County office. The deadline is June 8.
