RUMFORD – Mr. and Mrs. Laurier J. Belanger of Rumford are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Belanger of Thomaston, to Jamie Curtis of Thomaston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Curtis of Warren.

Miss Belanger is a 1992 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 1996 graduate of St. Michael’s College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics. She is currently employed as senior credit analyst for Bank of America.

Mr. Curtis is a 1988 graduate of Rockland High School and is currently a lobsterman on his boat “Irish Eileen.”

A Sept. 8 wedding will be held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport.
