AUBURN – Madeline E. Allen, 74, of Chestnut Plaza, Lewiston, died Saturday, May 26, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born in Houlton on July 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Adelbert and Rachel (Severance) Briggs. She spent most of her life living in the Augusta, Monmouth and Lewiston areas.
She was a member of the Acme Social Club. She had been an avid dart player for many years, playing in leagues for the Acme Club and Central Maine Dart League.
She leaves three daughters, Belinda Lucas of Sabattus, Rachel O’Connor-Hughes of Lewiston and Karen Kunze of Lewiston; a son, George Magee, and his wife, Mary, of Lewiston; an adopted son, Norman Knox of Gardiner; four stepsons, Robert, Johny, Paul and Alfred Magee; a stepdaughter, Marcella Robert; a sister, June McGillis of Augusta; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry Allen of Monmouth; a daughter, Marsha Chabot; a son, Richard Magee; two grandsons, Jeremy Magee and Mikey Kunze; a granddaughter, Heidi Magee; and a great-granddaughter, Tessa.
