I commend the Sun Journal for printing a great article about a young lady who was bound to succeed at a very young age, and still has a dream of going on to better things.
The story about Hannah Beaulieu (May 22) is bound to inspire some teens to do better than the way their life is heading. I’m sick of reading all the negative stories, especially about the lives of celebrities, who are far from being role models.
I’d like to read more stories about other teens, or adults, who have similar experiences as Beaulieu. The stories are there to be found so more positive news could be read.
I am one of Beaulieu’s customers, and I’m proud to say so. She’s always been on the ball and very dependable. Her parents have to be commended, too, for encouraging her to reach the goals she set for herself.
On another subject, I believe that home economics (cooking, etc.) should be offered in the schools again, as very few teens know how to cook. And a course in personal finances should be required. So many youngsters haven’t a clue as to what life is all about. As Beaulieu put it, “You appreciate things much more when you’ve earned it.”
I know, with her approach and determination, that Beaulieu will make a great pharmacist, and I hope her story will help others to see that with hard work, you can accomplish good things. She set a great example.
