LISBON – “Fire In The Sky”, Chief Worumbo’s 9th annual Androscoggin Fun River Race, is scheduled for Sunday, July 15 as part of Lisbon’s Moxie Festival.
This year’s race, “Fire In The Sky”, will reflect on the great conflagration of 1987 that destroyed the historic Worumbo Mill.
Race day registration starts at 9 a.m. The race will begin at 11 a.m. at the Durham Boat Launch on Route 136 near the Auburn-Durham line. Race ends six miles downriver at the Sabattus River Boat Launch on Route 196 at Lisbon.
Entry fee is $14 per person. It includes a race T-shirt, lunch and beverages if registration is received before Wednesday, July 11. There are assorted racing divisions, from canoe and kayak to Pro-Open.
