AUBURN – Marthe L. Brien, 96, of 200 Stetson Road, Auburn, died Wednesday, May 30, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on April 4, 1911, the daughter of Adelard and Lumina Leveque Langelier. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Jordan High School, Class of 1929.

Prior to her marriage, she was employed for several years as an office manager for Davis Cadillac on Park Street in Lewiston. She married a prominent eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, Dr. Maurice Brien, who passed away on Sept. 22, 1968.

A member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, she is survived by a sister, Marguerite P. Langelier of Auburn; and cousins, Pauline Gilbert and Edward Leveque, both of Lewiston.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Madeleine and Therese Langelier.
