OXFORD – Pauline Linda Ridlon, 52, passed away Wednesday, May 30, peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 20, 1955, the daughter of the late Maynard and Carolyn Verrill. She attended schools in Poland and Mechanic Falls and in 1970, she married Tony Ridlon.

In 1973, Tony’s mother passed away leaving Tony and Pauline to raise Tony’s younger brother, Dennis. In 1974, their daughter Linda was born, and in 1979, they gave birth to their other daughter, Billie Jo.

They lived in Mechanic Falls until 1997, when they bought their home in Oxford. She and Tony made sure that their new home was big enough in case their kids ever needed to “come home.” She took great pride in her family and especially her five grandchildren, Amber Sky Clukey, Trevor and Jacey Goodrich and the twins, Emily and Darien Goodrich.

Her husband and daughters took care of her right up to the last moments just as they had promised, with help from family and friends.

There was a special get-together for Pauline on May 12, at her home, where she was able to spend precious time with friends and family. Tony and his girls want to thank all who attended that day and took the time to make her smile.

She is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, Tony Ridlon; daughters, Linda Clukey, and her husband, Todd, of Oxford and Billie Jo Goodrich, and husband, James, of Mechanic Falls; a special brother-in-law, Dennis Ridlon, and wife, Vicky, of Auburn; two sisters, Pat Kimball, and husband, Kevin and Marie Crowley, and husband, Jamie, and a brother, Kenneth Verrill.

She was a true matriarch to her family and will be sadly missed by all.
